Description of Duty - Prefects allocated for each class are required to cooperate with the Class Leaders and assist the Form Teachers with the settling down of students from 0720 - 0730 hrs. Prefects will then stand infront of each class, with class leaders during morning assembly. NOTE: This will apply similarly for TUESDAY(s) where assembly is held in the schl hall.

hi all,

here's a little personal thought. i don't know if this is appopriate, so if you find it unsuitable to be around in the prefect blog, just give me a little hint okay.

so here it goes :

when i first became a prefect 5 years ago, i started to act differently and think differently. the reason? i felt that since i'm now a prefect, i shouldn't be the same as every other student in school right. of course, it didn't feel good trying to fit into your new ''identity'' initially. however, i had 2 more years to graduation from primary school. so eventually i had fun.

with my prior experience, fitting in as a prefect in secondary was slightly easier . of course, with my rebellious nature, it was tough to convince myself to tuck in my blouse and be neat. from that, i understood it was simply our mentallity towards things. once you manage to pass through your psychological barrier, you are one step ahead of all your peers in the prefectorial board who are still struggling to find themselves

so after i manage to get use to portraying the ''good girl'' image after 2 years of struggling, the teachers decided to push me one step further. to be above all. to be a nominee for head prefect. i got the post. initially, i was over the moon. it felt like there's a breeze as i walk. it seem so perfect. then the problem came. i saw the big picture, i realise once again, i have to learn to get use to my new identity. this time, a major change in identity.

it's tough getting use to something. if you enjoy drastic changes, you're definately a weirdo. so to all up and rising prefects out there, remember. its not all about looking cool and funky. you, yourself is the only barrier. its never easy. however, its worth a try.

On 28 nov, u guys will be the school ambassadors and will introduce our sch to the new p6 students. Those who did not attend today's briefing, here's the main points u have to take note to prepare for 28 Nov...

1. Ratio of prefects to no. of students = 1 to 20
( 1 prefect will be in charge of a grp of 20 P6 students)

2. Some questions to ponder.
U'll have to do a intro of the sch to the students so here are some points to think abt and say on tat day.

*Niche CCAs; strong in what subjects

For those of you who were present @ the Mooncake Festival + Hari Raya Celebrations you would have witness our adorable sec 1 wushu member ZengXin performed.

I've specially mentioned her name as i was rather surprised to see her showing off her excellent taiji skills. From what I know, Zeng Xin is rather quiet and seen as a pleasent young girl. Knowing that she was from wushu was shocking enough, witnessing her perform was even more overwhelming!

i mean, did you see how confident she looked? you would definately not realise that this young lady on the platform is actually a really quiet girl. Indeed I was impress, and i think we should all give her a pat on her back!

In fact, her captain leonard was sitting right beside me and i asked him if they have learnt wushu before. but nope, they didnt.

if you have noticed, i've kindly removed the 'our world' column (including the links) and changed it to an 'announcement' column. Reasons being,
1. i find the 'our world' column rather redundant and people wont know exactly who eg. Hazel is anyway.

Hey people,
Okay, some of you mention that you don't have duty, please tell me your names on Tuesday (22/9). I'll try to inform Hazel about this. I'm sorry for typing your names wrongly. As about the duty list, those names who are not appeared on the list, please be reminded that you don't need to do any of the duties. But,that doesn't mean that you don't catch anyone when you see someone bringing sweet drinks into their class.

To Kenichi : I will inform Hazel as soon as possible.....Sorry about that! :)

you would have witness the judges with their WOW expression. yeap. the girl can sing and she is definately more than just a pretty face.

sometimes we tend to label a person even before knowing them. That's really unfair and unkind. That person might be somebody who will make an impact on you or help you in someway one day. so dear prefects, before you label your fellow prefects as ''irritating'' or ''unlikable'' try getting to know them first. :D

All sec 2s good in art, Please hand in a card design for the teachers day cards. If u wanna give excuses that u cannot do it, its okay. But the one who will be disadvantaged will be you, yourself. The theme is not decided yet leh, so just use ur imagination and come with a good design.
